  2. Program Title: FACT PACK

  5. FACT PACK is a pair of programs, TABLE and FACTRACE, that are designed
  6. to sharpen basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction,
  7. multiplication and division) for students in grades 1 - 8.
  8.  
  9. TABLE displays a multiplication or addition table minus the answers.
  10. The computer chooses a problems at random and the student must calculate
  11. the sum or product for that location.  The size of the table can be
  12. expanded to larger sums and products.
  13.  
  14. FACTRACE gives a timed quiz on a combination of addition,
  15. multiplication, subtraction and division problems.  It then presents a
  16. report of the problems answered correctly, the ones attempted, the
  17. percent correct and any errors made.

  19. Both programs run in practice and test modes.  In practice mode, the
  20. student can work on a problem at a leisurely pace.  In test mode, both
  21. programs provide exciting challenges for the students as they race with
  22. the computer in finding the answers.

  24. FACT PACK supplies both fun and motivation for younger learners, and is
  25. an excellent tool for providing basic math skill drills for first
  26. through eighth graders.
